Community Involvement

We believe that if we live and work in a community then we must contribute to it and help build it to become stronger and healthier. We are committed and dedicated to giving back to our communities in every way we can – infact, it is a driving force that helps us grow into better human beings.

Annual Terry Fox Run

Both Nasir and Najeah have been organizing the Annual Terry Fox Run in Richmond Hill for the past several years. It has been an honour to celebrate the achivements of a Canadian hero who has become a symbol of hope and inspiration to millions around the world.

Terry Fox Tribute

Richmond Hill honours Canadian hero Terry Fox and the 35th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope on September 12, 2015  by placing a beautiful carved statue of Terry in Ransom Park on Yonge St.  Attendees included Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, Chancelor, Mayor of RH David Barrow, city councillors, and members of the Fox Family, who thanked avid volunteers Nasir and Najeah, amongst others, for their dedication to Terry’s legacy. Event was attended by residents alike who enjoyed music, concert, workshops, bubbles, and free ice cream.

Thank you to the international Terry Fox Foundation for presenting us with a special appreciation letter. It is truly an honour to be part of this iconic Canadian legacy!
